Support Dogs
I support my dogs by setting them up to win. I begin with choosing parents that are successful in the field and as companions and family members in the house. I am not too heavy handed with dogs in the field. I rely on the dogs innate genetics and drive to lead the way in the woods on wild birds. It seems to me the birds themselves are pretty good at teaching steady to flush. I enjoy developing a hunting partnership with my dogs in the woods, balancing structure and fun. An approach maybe not taken by all, yet yielding memorable fall days, happy dogs, and dinner on the table.
Our Mission
To produce your next canine family member that has a foundation steeped in genetics, physical soundness, adherence to breed standard, desire to work, please, and most important, the desire to be happiest by your side in the field, or in your living room. Puppies that are started right, from the decision of who the parents will be, to my loved and carefully followed Mama dogs, therefore a healthy start in utero, a healthy personally-supported delivery, followed by careful exposure and attention to every detail on your pups first eight to nine weeks of life, from vaccinations, worming, daily weights, Veterinarian exams , to the pups first introduction to adventure in the woods with birds.

Solitaire Kennel puppies easily adapt to any active lifestyle. Solitaire Epagneul Breton's have the drive to hunt all day, bike or hike, several of our pups have gone on to be in classroom therapy dogs. Regardless of their role/job in your life, A solitaire pup is happiest next to you riding shotgun in your truck, sitting on the couch next to you, in your bass boat , on your pontoon or curled up at the foot of your bed. I cannot stress this enough... by your side as part of your family is what it takes to make our pups thrive.
